My name is Julie Walter. In 2011 I started to attend a commercial arts class at SVEC. When I first started classes I was not very interested in what we were doing, I was just trying to get the credit for the class. As time went on, I started getting interested in computer graphics. The projects we were assigned, taught us the basics of graphic design. We learned how to design movie posters, concert posters, websites, etc. We also learned how to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. This class is very beneficial. Let me tell you why... After taking the class for a while, you are given the option to get Adobe certified. This will definitely help you get a job later on in life. Other than that, if you decided to take it further and make a career out of it then this class will help you a lot.
